Sydney and sustainability

Green, global and connected, is how the city of Sydney wants to be by 2030, according to its ambitious Sustainable Sydney master plan. Sydney 2030 came to life after the city planners asked residents, visitors, workers and businesses what kind of city they wanted. Hardly surprising, people wanted a city that cares about the environment, has a strong economy, supports the arts and that connects its people to each other and the rest of the world. Sydney 2030 is now the cornerstone of everything done in this hugely popular city destination.

New sustainability-focused, residential areas are being developed all across the city. Central Park‘s vertical gardens and stunning architecture are a must see. And of course the many beaches and parks greatly add to the appeal of Sydney as a green travel destination.

Tip: Evening drinks or dinner in Glebe: probably Sydney’s most charming neighborhood, and very central.
